Who rode to work today???

My limit is 35. It was approaching that IN MY HOUSE this AM after we lost power at 3 AM. It was -5 outside. We got power back after about 7 hours. Living room with fireplace got down to 65. Rest of the house was probably 10-15 degrees less
Besides, I had rotator cuff surgery last Wednesday so no riding until at least March for me

I knew it was going to be cold today, so I left a little early to let the girl warm up a bit. Cranked on it and she burbled to life, set the fast idle....yikes leather is cool on days like today...lets see, those little buttons, ahhh yes.. heated seat, I likey this option.
Pull out of the drive, ease on the throttle...she still a little cold... don't need a poped head gasket...ease up the road,... 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th ,5th, 6th gear.....smooth she is, nice ride. Feelin' the heated seat workin'..If you all don't have these get em' soon, the best on days like today!...
Adjust the XM radio,... classic rock channel XM46...woa! no way, to early for that loud noise...ahh yes... bluegrass XM14..... Exit the hwy into town...not many people around today...must be most have the day off with xmas and all....round the corner by the office .....YIKES! ...WTF! , MORON! ....IN MY LANE NO LESS , Big orange truck about takes me out! ......I have the fog lights on and low beams glowing. That was close.
Pull into parking lot crack the throttle a little,...woa nelly!..breaks the tire loose, Torque is what that is!..... I feel like a kid again, all most slid perfectly into my parking spot away from where the "others" park. I park a good 50 feet away from them...hate scratches from careless passer by's, in black no less...Are not all the good ones black?.
....Gosh I hate to leave the heated seat its real toasty now. Shut her off. Set the alarm. And run like hell to the office...its a flippin' 9 degrees out side.
Damn Duramax Diesels are nice, especially the heated seat and 4x4 options, LOL... just watch for those Big orange snow plow trucks!

I backed out of the garage then realized I had to go back in the house to change clothes, it was too hot to ride into work with a long sleeve shirt so had to have the OL iron a short sleeve. Gave her a stern talking to, she will go outside and check temp before she irons my clothes now, all is well with the world.
Yeah, I'm sure that would go over just as well as if I told that to my wife. LoL
