Does anyone make a forward kit besides Wild Bills Cycles? I emailed them and they are almost a year out of production. He said something happened at the machine shop.
There was a post here somewhere in the last week or so where another member was looking to take his set off as he was selling his bike and didn't have the OEM mounts. Maybe you can look back and find the post and work out a deal with swapping your OEM with his extended brackets.
HD makes a kit that moves the board forward 3/4"-1". I have it and it is more comfortable. I also have the Soos kit that moves them 3/4" out. The HD kit is actually new floor boards, you just re-use your inserts. They just have the mounting points moved back on the boards
i just bought a wild bills kit to add to my soos extenders....but dont know if im putting em on, as the brawler seat im currently sporting puts me back more then my previous seat.
When you add the forward kits o you also have to add the extended brake pedal as well as the longr shifter?
it helps, but the ones discussed here are only an inch forward...so maybe not required. mine is two inches forward, and i think ill definitely need the extended ones if i put these wild bills 2 inchers on me hog.
I haven't used them, just passing along the link. I am loooking for a forward extension kit to fit a 1997 Heritage. Either that or I'm going to try a set of forward controls.
