definitely check out the Delphi forum. There are a lot of people who have a lot of experience with trailers. After my research I went with the isolator; built the jp plug with parts from my local stealer for about $5. iso kit from bushtec. purchased a hitchdoc reciever hitch and couldn't be happier.

i live in rural oklahoma, and it seems that a huge majority of guys with pickup trucks are driving around with four or five loose wires hanging out from under their bumpers. all i can figure is that they really enjoy wiring a trailer each time they hook up. do it right the first time and you won't have to do it six time a year.

++1 on the JPcycles plug, also found an isolator on ebay for $27 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...lenotsupported.
Took less than an hour to hook up.
I disconnect the power lead to the isolator when I'm not pulling the trailer. Don't know if you have to, just thought why power it if you don't need it.

Well guys, I just got back from my planned trips with the new bike trailer and it worked great!! I used a Hoppes Isolated Converter set-up and wired it in and have not had a lick of problems.

We have been to 11 states in 4 weeks, 6,500 miles and have had many compliments on the trailer. I have a total of 97 LED's on it and and a skull mount to cover the end of the tube frame and they don't even flicker the volt meter on the bike when I plug it in!! Thanks to all sho posted and happy and safe rolling this summer!!!

Okay I'm confused. I'm wiring a 4 pin flat trailer to my 2009 Ultra. I need a Isolator and wiring a wiring kit? Does anybody sell them together? Do I need anything from my dealer as for wiring?

I would stick to the one in the pic, then tie that into the harnes that your running to the trailer.
