You were lucky. Typically if the wheel is turned while the chrome ignition switch is out, the internals get out of alignment and the only way to get the switch back in is with a special tool Harley has....Although, many have said the re-alignment can be done with a flat blade screwdriver.

Best thing is to simply keep the wheel in the same position and slip the switch back in after the chrome install.

I'm with you. With all the gauge rings being chrome and everything else being chrome why did they make the radio faceplate a brushed aluminum ?? I was going to buy it but it stuck out like a sore thumb. If they ever make it in chrome it will be a must have.

 

I suppose that the radio bezel is brushed aluminum because MoCo thought it wouldn't reflect the sun so much. But I think I might polish mine to help it better match the chrome. Or not....

 

I already bought and installed the set. It matches the chrome switch housings perfectly.

 

I like the look. Do you have the part number or a link. I looked on Eastern Performances website and could not find them. Thx
