not using it myself, but if you want to use it, you can have the dealer flash your ecm to activate under warranty. then if you don't like it, you can have it removed once, also under warranty. so if you have an 07, if its still under the 2 year warranty, then you are probably getting very close to expiration and will need to make up your mind quickly.
for what its worth, i live in central la and don't feel that i need it.
I have it enabled on my 07 FLHTCU, you can turn it on or off only when hooked up with the SERT. I look at it as insurance. But as far as feeling a difference in heat, I can't tell much but I don't get in heavy traffic that often and I take the lower fairings off in summer.
