Bulb numbers
i picked up some 1156 LED replacement bulbs, and while they do say that i may need a load limiter, i'll give them a try and see what i get. Thanks for all the input guys, never ceases to amaze me the wealth of knowledge that is available on this forum.
I installed the LED bulbs for my rear turn signals tonight, and they worked great, for the first 3 "blinks", then started blinking quickly. Sounds to me like i might need the load equalizer after all. Good thing its winter time around here, plenty of time to tinker and play !

You might try the signals again and see if the the blinking is OK now. On my 07 Ultra I installed a set of LED Kuryakyn rear signals. They initially blinked fast the first time, but now blink normal. I am thinking the electronics on the HD signal flasher resets for the LEDs, at least just on the rear. Anyone else have that experience? I am wondering now if I replace the front with LED that it will be OK without an equalizer too. Hate to do more wiring and cutting than I have too!!

yeah, i can certainly try it again, doesn't take too much time to swap bulbs. My scoot is an 02, so there may be a difference in the set up between those years. I think i read about a procedure to remove teh battery cable, then reinstall it to "retrain" the module, but can't remember what years that worked on?
Then my next concern if i do have to get a load equalizer would be which one? Most of these warn about heat given off, and how you shouldn't run flashers for extended periods....but given the fact i ride with our road crew, and we run flashers for extended periods, i'm worried about melting wiring (or worse). If its not one thing its another i suppose.
