Man you guys are a bad influence.....PC III on the way
Hey guys,
I have been running a V&H fuelpak for about 6 months now and have been happy with the performance but the mileage has been terrible. I have averaged less than 120 miles on a 6 gallon tank since the install. While I'm not particularly interested in mpg I don't want to have to stop every hundred miles for fuel. So today I called and ordered a pciii with a tune setup for mileage. Fuelmoto said I should get 38-42 mpg so that should get me a little better miles per tank. I've always been one to ride from tank to tank and it is hard to do when you have to start every hundred miles
with my fuel moto map, i get about 39 mpg combined town and highway. when i rode to spearfish earlier this summer, i got as high as 56 mpg. but thats constant 70-75 mph, no throttle up or down.... with acc and dec, i averaged 53 mpg. sure wish i could get that in town
do a search for some posts from iclick. he has edited the fuel moto maps, and has some newfangled contraption that lets him switch between maps on the fly and so he does better.
