I'm gona go from a Nightster to a Street Glide I'm only 5 ft 6 140lbs
Anyone here got one lowered & how ya do it need to get mine as low as a Nightster to feel comfortable.
If I sell my Nightster listed on here ,I want to get a bike listed on here also it's a 2006. If I don't sell it then I'm gona do the by back program then get a 2009. what ya think...
I'm also 5'6" and in the 150lb range. I started on a sporster 1200C and went to an 06 Street Glide. No problems. My bike is all stock. Just a matter of gettin used to having floorboards instead of pegs.
the road king custom uses the same suspension as the street glide. i lowered mine even further by switching out the stock shocks with 11-1/2" progressive 440s.
you'll also need a different seat, which you would want to get anyway. make sure it has a 'nose job'. that is, skinny in the nose which will allow your legs to reach down, instead of out.
i'm very comfortable on my king, and i'm only 5'4", so you should be able to make it fit you comfortably.

I lowered my 08SG 1" because it looks cool. I am 6' 180 and with 1"lowering blocks with wife and I, its not a problem. Only bottoms two up when I forget to add a little more air to the shocks. One hard bump and I remember.
140/150 you prob could lower the shocks to the 2" lower setting on the lowering blocks. I did it once...its the look...but to harsh of a ride for me.
Guy's thanks for taking the time for me, I'm feeling good now that I see guys even a little shorter rideing a Stree Glide . Can't wait to get my Nightster sold and get on a Glide.
+1 on finding a seat with a narrower nose. I run Street Glide shocks on my FLHT, and I'm about an inch taller than you. With the right seat, it's flatfoot city.
I changed out my stock 09 seat to a Mustang Solo w/ backrest and it lowers me about an inch. This seat has a narrow nose. I am only 5'7" and I can flat foot the bike.
