The trick for Harley is going to be how to move the demographic to younger guys while holding the price/profit point. I can't get my son (19) enthusiastic about HDs. Just had him at the dealer and he was drawn to a Triumph Bonneville. Nice bike, but not a Harley by any means.
I think he thinks of Harleys as old guys bikes, plus he is put off by the price of even the used ones, and thinks he could never afford one. Since he feels he could not own one, he sort of naturally defers to another brand.
