My '08 Ultra was built in Nov. '07. I took delivery on 12/08/07. I had the SE/AC, SERT, and Rinehart Slip-ons added prior to delivery. I rode it for a week and got deployed. It sat most of the year and I just now have 1K miles on it. My question is, can you all help me to come up with a comprehensive list of what specific ECM updates or other specific issues I may have checked out/updated before I go to the dealer for the first service? I want to be able to point them in the right direction by chance that they are clueless. I am using the search also, I just want to make sure that I get a solid list. Thanks in advance, Rick.
Edited to add: I rode the bike the last day that I could before I left. My wife and brother agreed to make sure that the bike would be cleaned promptly after my departure. It never was. I think that they did start it a couple of times a month but it never did get washed or even sprayed off. It sat in my garage for a year with road salt and grime on it. Some of the chrome is pitted but the wheels are shot. The chrome is blistering and some of the blisters have already ruptured. I was a little upset to say the least. I have bought heated riding gear and am going to go to Fox Creek one day soon and buy leather. It is great to be back home.

Reason: More info..
Rick, Thank you for your sevice to me and my family, and welcome home my friend. Sorry i can't help with your list. i have an 08, and have had no issues.
Thank you for your kind response. I am not too worried about problems but I was wondering what all kind of little updates or TSBs I might need/want to have done. It is not that I don't trust the dealership because I think that they would do me wrong intentionally, I just don't trust that whoever I deal with individually may not be in the know.
There has been a recall on the fuel filter housing that needs to be replaced. I am not sure if it applies to your build date. The dealer should check for you.
Rick, PM your VIN and I'll type in the dealer network and let you know if the fuel shell recall shows up on your bike. Other than that, there have been no recalls or otherwise for the 08's, only a few tech tips on brake noise, etc.
I have been using the search and it looks like to me that all I need is the fuel filter shell recall. I used the MOCO Service Check-up as mentioned here. That will settle my mind a little. It'll help me shake that feeling that I missed out on something that the bike needed. Thank you all for your replies.
