Default Bank Angle sensor

I have a 01 FLHTCI with 60,000 on it. The turn signal wont self cancel anymore the radio vol will go up and down on its own sometimes. Do you guys think the BAS is bad? I hope not because the unit is very expensive, I think there around 250.00.

Before that, take the speed sensor out of the tranny and clean it. That can cause those symptoms. Otherwise, the BAS is part of the TSSM 68920-01D $114

If it needs replacing check Ebay because a lot of them are sold when people add security. I sold one for an '05 for less than $10.00 as I remember.

It's also possible your speed sensor is broken (puked) and needs replacing. Or look for possible grounds under the fairing. No expert here tho.

Dont understand why the speed sensor would cause the turn signals to not self cancel.

The speed sensor measure the time and distance traveled when moving to cancel the turn signal. If its not getting the signal it wont cancel
