I have an 08 RKC. I've only been riding two years and I'm pretty conservative. The fastest I ride on the interstate is about 70 and I never really go too fast through turns. With this said, would something like the bagger brace be something that would be good for me or a waste of money. The way that I ride, I haven't really noticed any problems yet.

I'm in my mid 50's and now ride conservatively (like you). Last year I had the TWR brace installed and I found it helped with the 'wandering' tendancy my RK had while even just riding straight ahead, through curves, over tar snakes and buffeting from semi's.
My thoughts are: It did make an improvement in handling along with the peace of mind that this RK won't/shouldn't get squirrely on me.
What method did you use to straighten the cross brace? what tricks have others used to accomplish this?
I used a ball joint fork beetween the member and the oil pan and slowly added pressure to bring it down. It's easier to bend than I thought it would be.
I've got a bend in my bar also any tricks to get it to fit this brace, dont want to pry on trans and I cant get a clamp between it to pull it down. any help is appreciated ....thanks

I was thinking that same thing. I will be getting a new RKC and wanted to know if the braces wound make a noticable improvement. I really do not or have not yet do any long trips but safety is always a concern. Is the difference most noticed when the bags are loaded with weight or at anytime ??
