Default Ultra Bars

I am not too sure I like the reach or the hight of the OEM bars on my 08 Ultra. I know I just got off a Heritage Softail with 4" risers and it is a big change and maybe it just takes getting used to the difference it them. I have looked at other bars to replace these with, but everything I find, even those offered by the moco, just don't seem to do what I am looking for. I would like to raise them 2" and reduce the reach by about 2" at the same time. Does anyone know of such a bar? Also the book says I would have to change the clutch and front brake line. Where do you get a plus 4" substitute without having to go to expensive braided lines? Thanks.

Thanks RocknRod, that is what I was looking for. Now all I have to decide is which one to go with.

I put the Khromewerks Sweepers (300505) on mine and they feel great. I also had a Heritage before the Ultra.

That is the way I am leaning towards too. If you have a better pic of them on your bike I would love to see it. Oh, did you do it yourself or have it done and what did you have to change to make them work? Thanks.

I did do the bars myslef and I only needed to get the +3" clutch cable. It took me 2 evenings after supper. I may change the throttle/idle cables too because at full lock to the left, they are tight. I have about 4,000 miles on this setup though with no problems. My elbows and back don't hurt anymore from reaching.

Thanks Shrink, they look good. Mine being an 08 I don't have throttle cables, but I would have to get the extension for the drive by wire throttle. Also I thought you would need to change the front brake line.

As for the ugly guy in the mirror......leave it to those who don't show there own face to have something to say about that....LOL

I have the Khrome Werks sweepers on my 08 Ultra and the ONLY thing you need to get is a +3 or +4 clutch cable. A Forum sponsor here Warehouse Direct can hook you up with the bars & cable for around $100.00 (they give us a discount) ask for Cory. Great bars, you will love them.
