I have the Khrome Werks sweepers on my 08 Ultra and the ONLY thing you need to get is a +3 or +4 clutch cable. A Forum sponsor here Warehouse Direct can hook you up with the bars & cable for around $100.00 (they give us a discount) ask for Cory. Great bars, you will love them.
Thanks Peppa1, I called Corey and he fixed me up with a quote that is great for the bars and clutch cable. I wanted the +2 sweepers and the cable he came up with was a +6.
You put on the +2 bars? You didn't have to add the throttle extension or a longer brake line?
This post is exactly what I was looking for. I am getting serious pain in the middle of my back and also my elbows from stretching to ride the Ultra. I have changed the seat out when the bike was a couple of weeks old to a Mustang, so the handlebars are the only thing left. Sitting straight up I have to stretch 2" to reach the grips.
I am looking at replacing my bars with Wild 1's 575. Anyone have any experience with changing to this style and also with the ABS? I have a quote on the internet for a full kit with all stainless cables, TBW extension, & ABS cable with the bars for $500. Any thoughts would be great.
I also called Cory today about my 09 Ultra with ABS. He said the 2" Sweeper bars would work with only a extended clutch cable in which he sells. Say's there is plenty of play in the TBW and brake line. Will read up on changing my clutch cable and give em a try. Anyone here done this on a 09 with ABS? This is alot better than $700 from a dealer with all the changes they recommend.

HERE HERE, that is what I thought too. I wasn't going to do the change at that price. Now though I think I will do it. One thing I suggest is if you are going to do this yourself, get an OEM service manual to guide you through it. I bought one for my 08 and reading it for doing this shows there can be a lot of mistakes made with the wire harness plugs getting broken. It is a lot more to changing the bars than a couple of bolts.
I had the Wild One 575 bars installed on my 08 Ultra with ABS. The only additional parts necessary was a +4 clutch cable and the fluids and seals for the clutch.
4 hours labor for the bars and 1 hour for the clutch cable.

+1 - Don't give the dealer the money for the bar change. Spend $70 on the bars, $60 on the manual, $40 or so on the clutch cable - and get to know your bike, while saving about $400.
Edit
I also changed my 2 piece clamps to the one piece and I changed the rubber bushings to the HD poly bushings. Everything feels tighter and more responsive AND I still saved money because I did it myself.

[QUOTE=TheShrink;4340589]I did do the bars myslef and I only needed to get the +3" clutch cable. It took me 2 evenings after supper. I may change the throttle/idle cables too because at full lock to the left, they are tight. I have about 4,000 miles on this setup though with no problems. My elbows and back don't hurt anymore from reaching.
Shrink,
I've been thinking about doing the same thing. My question is do the fairing mirrors still work or are they now obstructed? Or do they work better now?

I can see some of my hands in the mirrors, but, not enough to block my vision. The comfort out weighs that anyway. I always turn my head for checks too, always have.
I'm in Lockport. You must be north of me if you belong to Wildfire HOG.

No need for an extension there should be plenty of slack in the fairing. Good luck !!! You will love the bars.
