Claudio,
"Lowers" mount on your front crash bars. They can be either hard or soft lowers (soft are leather or vinyl and easily removable where hard lowers are more permanent) and can be made by Harley or aftermarket vendors.

Mine below are soft lowers
+1 on the lower fairings helping out, but I am not happy with the stock windshield. I am 5'-11" and have added the ultra seat which I think puts you up a little higher than the stock RG seat. I also have a Clearview Medium on order. I have owned some sport touring bikes that I have added their sheilds and have always been pleased. I hope this resolves some of issues I am having with buffetting and wind noise. I was used to having nearly total silence behind my ST1300 electric windshield. I don't mind getting a little wind, but I am getting a harmonic vibration that is like strapping an electric toothbrush to my helmet. I sure hope the Clearview resolves this.
I spent the $$$ and tried several different windshields. IMO, the CVO stock windshield needs to be tossed in the trash and the fancy looking KW windshields look good, but it does not offer any additional benefits and your ears will take a pounding from the wind.
I ended up with a Clearview 11-1/2" GT Small, light tint that I will ride with most of the time and it provides good enough wind protection and still looks aesthetically pleasing to my eyes anyhow. I also have a Cee Bailey's 10" dark tint that I will put on during the hot summer months for some extra wind in the face. I also have HD hard lowers and I am sure that having the lowers aids with improving the buffeting.
I use a tinted Clearview 16" w/recurve & vent and have been very pleased with it although I am considering a 12" or 14" for riding in warm weather and using the 16" for winter riding since I ride year round.I also use a set of soft lowers partly because of the lower price and they are quickly removed or installed. Enjoy the ride!
hi everybody!
now I got it, thanks a lot for the explanations!
Me too I like wind in my face- but I prefer it in a laminar way?!?!
I am really very pleased with your fast and helpful answers!!
ride save and have fun!
