Default Tire question

I recently went to a Avon rear tire on my 2001 EGC. I continued with the Dunlop on the front. I've had no handling issues by running different brands even though tread design is different. The only down side is the Avon's narrow white wall is wider that the Dunlop's narrow white wall. I've tried to order a Avon for the front front 3 different places online. All 3 say it is on national back order and will take 4-6 weeks. One of the places has offered a Metzeler in place of the Avon. From just looking at a picture of the Metzeler, it appears that the tread design matches more to the Avon than a Dunlop. Am I correct on this?

Yeah, but the metzeler is still different than the avon. Just wait for the avon.
