Bagger brace question....
I have been watching the bagger brace posts for the past 6 months or so. I am having a form of a pacemaker installed next week and will be off the bike for 8-10 weeks so I am looking for a few small projects to do while I am down. I was curious how intensive the install is? I read the instructions on their website but for some reason the pics do not look very clear on my pc. I was wondering if it is a big deal or something that only takes an hour or two. Also is there anywhere online that is cheaper than it is direct from the bagger brace people?
My other project will likely be to install Hogtunes in my bike as well. I'm gonna try to tackle the BB first and then move on to the hogtunes.

Hope your pacemaker install goes well. The best price on the Bagger Brace seems to be direct from the manufacturer, who I think is also a forum sponsor. You might be able to get it cheaper if some one has one used, but I'm not sure if I would buy a used one. As for the install, it is pretty straight forward and takes less time if you read the directions and then install it (don't ask how I figured that out). I found that once it was in place my bike felt more stable and was worth the price and on a scale of 1 to 10 the install was a 4 in difficulty. Be sure to use your blue loctite......
Sorry to hear you ticker needs a boost....My day for that is on the horizon I'm sure.
Don't use locktite on the 10 little fasteners that attach the brace to your frame crossmember....please don't do that.
The instructions don't say, but you really need to use anti-sieze on those ten screws....if you don't you will never get them all out without stripping the allen hols on several of them.....been there-done that.
The instructons that come with the brace are very easy to see/read and understand....they are in color and best any offered by other aftermarket guys.
You only need two allen wrenches(long ball end) and two 3/4" wrenches....You can perform the install with bike sitting on floor on jiffy stand....Simply assemble the 4 tools you need and lay down alongside the scoot n go to work.
Once all is installed, you will need someone to hold the bike upright for maybe two minutes while you adjust and attach the actual link that connects the dogbone to the tranny bracket.
