I haven't been able to track it down, so hopefully someone can help...
I'm trying to find the measurement on the uprights. I have the backrest setup from the wifes old sportster, and it measures (roughly) 8 3/4", and I'm wondering if I can get away with new backplates and reuse the upright? Any help is appreciated...I havent had a chance to go to dealer, or I'd check it there....and P&A doesn't list the widths
I think I know what you're asking but not sure.
I measured the distance between the bottom plates of my passenger backrest off my 06 FLHT and it measures 11 3/8" this would be the plates that mount to the quick detach points on the bike.
Hope this helps.

Is it two-peice (sideplate and upright seperate)? If so, could you measure the uprights "legs", where it insert into the sideplate?
I'm seeing alot of one-piece backrests for the glides, so I may be s.o.l...
As far as I know , the touring models are only offered as a one piece (all welded) passenger backrest.
You would pick a height and then the backrest pad style and size , and you're done.
Basically they're short , medium , and tall for sizes.
