I put some Rush slip-on mufflers on my 2007 Ultra in June of 2007. I have since put about 10,000 miles on them. I recently put on a Fullsac true dual setup on and noticed that my right muffler sounds like it is a bit tinny. It does not sound near as good as the sound coming out of the left muffler. More than likely the fiberglass wrap is falling apart or mostly gone from the right muffler. I sent Rush an e-mail about it over the weekend and they have already sent me enough wrap to re-wrap both baffles, fed-exed to my house, FREE OF CHARGE!!!!!!!!!
I was happy with the sound and price of the Rush mufflers when I got them. I now know that their customer service is also top notch.
All right side muffs wear faster than those with true duals because the right side pipe passes more gas......Just hold you hands behind a bike with factory head pipes with crossover and you can feel it.
Jamie at fuelmoto uses special German made stuffing that lasts lots longer. The reason you want better packing is that over time your dyno tune will need to be redone as the packing breaks down and blows out.
Rush treated you right fersure, but next time simply swap muffs left to right or go with true duals and repack both when required with long life packing.
