Is it just me or is that an awful lot of money for changing the fork oil in an '03 ultra???

Sure is a lot of $$$$ if that's all that was done...I can see the cost if was a 5k,10k service which cost about that.

Sounds high to me. I would think you could have had it lowered for that. I was thinking of lowering the front of a 2003 Ultra last year, the cost was $429.00. I sold the bike, owning two was very expensive.
I would start shopping around and look for special deals. Or you could just by a Springer!

That is very high. Even if they do have to remove one fork tube to replace fork oil because of the cartridge. I got a new rear tire and the fork oil replaced for about $450 and thought that was high.

At two of the local HD's where I live they are offering 20% off parts and labor for chroming the front end, estimated cost is around $550.00. And that included replacing the front fork oil.
