I'm still on the fence with these GPS systems. My maps have worked great for years and years, and although I may sound like an antique I can still get where I want pretty easily with no distractions while riding. My kids tell me to get into this century, but man it's hard with all the shiny stuff I think I want vs. electronics. Oh well.
My Garmin nuvi 760 does all the same things for 1/3 the price.
Can you see the nuvi 760 screen in bright sunlight? I have an "auto" gps that works great inside a car, but take it out into the sunlight and it's worthless. I'm assuming that the nuvi 760 is compatible with some type of handlebar mount, right?

Yes, you can get a handlebar mount for it, but I'm going to find a trick way to mount mine so that my bike stays clean looking for driving around town. I only want to use the Garmin nuvi 760 when I'm touring someplace out of town.
The only reason I would get a GPS is so I could upload to my computer everywhere I went. Other than that don't need it. Getting lost is part of the ride and most of the time ends up being more fun.
