What about those other tour paks on EBAY, the cheap one's from $100-$200 dollars? Anyone try those out? Just curious..............

I installed a Tour-Pak from Mutazu.com, using the H-D detachable tour-pak rack and H-D quick disconnect docking system, onto my '07 Police Electra-Glide. I also installed the H-D Ultra backrest onto this (imitation) tour-pak. My wife and I are very happy with the results. This tour-pak opens from the rear instead of the side, has slightly less capacity, and a thinner build quality. It is lockable and the paint quality is very good. It tends to vibrate very slightly at idle when riding solo. But at $140.00 vs. almost $1000.00, I'm very happy with it! I intend to transfer it to my new '09 Police Glide ... new brackets and docking system though

Depending on your application, the Mutazu is an excellent value IMO as UALCapt described it. I've had the Mutazu for about 3 years mounted on a solo detachable HD rack and it's excellent for my purposes. I also have an HD King TP on a two-up detachable rack. The Mutazu holds about 85% of the King TP. Neither TP is on the bike except when I'm travelling, but I will grab the Mutazu and put it on the bike if I want to run errands and need the storage capacity. Because of its light weight, primarily, it's much easier to install and remove than the King TP which is probably 3X heavier and bulkier.

I mentioned "application" because the Mutazu would not be a good choice if you want to mount a luggage rack and carry significant weight, say 25 lbs. or more. Its construction is very similar to the HD tour paks sold for Road Kings, if that helps you understand the difference between the Mutazu and King TP.

Frankly, both TP's are off the bike so much that it's much easier for me to look at the $110 Mutazu sitting there, than looking at the $900 HD King TP sitting next to it.

Also, since I don't think a TP enhances the appearance of any Touring model, opinions about the appearance of King, chopped, and Mutazu TP's has zero interest for me--it's 95% function over form/appearance for me.

Use the search function and you'll find a lot of happy HDF'ers using the Mutazu.

I have the Mutazu tour pak which was $110 and I used HD's detachable hardware. I love it. It holds my 1/2 helmet and the wife's 3/4 helmet no problem. I bought it thinking that I would rarely use it but it has not come off the bike since I installed it. In total, it cost me around $400 for everything including their wraparound backrest.

The paint looks great and I could not justify the extra money for an HD tour pak. The only thing I wish I had done different was purchase the detachable bracket in black from Milwaukee Bagger that uses the passenger backrest mount points. I purchased the tour pak mount points and the tour pak detachable bracket and could have just bought the bracket from Milwaukee Bagger that connects to my existing mount for the passenger backrest and get the black bracket and not purchase the extra docking hardware.

I do like the look of the tour pak above with the wing though.
