i was looking to add some bling to my front fender but every thing i want say will not fit roadglide fender. could somebody tell me the difference between the fenders on the rg and say a ultra classic
what kind of bling you looking for? I added the flamed skirt to mine after I ran over a big hunk of chain in the middle of I-95 on my way to FL... coulda been worse only tore up the back bottom edge of the fender. the skirt was cheaper than a new fender and covered the damage.
getting ready to change over to fatboy fender now, wonder what the damage would have been to my engine if I would have run over the chain with that fender on !
The Dennis Kirk cat has some fender tip accents that fit RG. I'm going fr Classic to smooth clean look, go figure. I suspect most don't fit because you have no holes and the parts fr HD are mainly bolt on.
FLTR & FLHX share the same fender skin.. plain with no lights or chrome trim.
FLHT, FLHTC, FLHTCU & some RoadKing & Heritage ST models share the same fender skin & come with the stamped recess for the front fender light & drilled for chrome trim & rear splash guard/chrome trim.
If Im not 100% right... sorry, pulling it from memory. I dont know what the complete interchangability is from one year to another... best to check with the Dealer or parts books. Thjere maybe a difference in mounting holes & such.
The FLHT series fender is also a little shorter in the back to accomodate the skirt and keep the look the same length as a full length fender on a Roadglide or Streetglide
