Not a chance I'd consider trading my 08 classic for a 06 street glide (or 09 for that matter) so it does make me wonder why he would want to trade.

I would...why not given both bike are in good shape...you get a newer bike, bigger motor, extra gear, tourpac, etc....I think he's nuts....I have a 07 Classic with 19000+ miles and I would not trade for a 06 anything...why go back? I had a 06 UC and would not trade back for it....love the 96" 6 speed

Would you trade for my '06 Street Glide?

Back to the post. It depends on what you want. If it were me, I would trade due to the bike being 2 years newer, larger engine, 6 speed tranny and the extras of an Ultra.

Something is not right. Why would anyone want to trade a newer bike w/less miles for an older with more miles, looks can be achieved by doing the upgrades.

You can be smart if you like a SG. Trade with him and trade it for an 09 SG. Get more for the 08 than the 06. And you wind up with a 3year newer ride.

I definately would trade him, if I new the owner and the bikes history, like you said a couple of grand and you could have the bike you had before only newer and less miles. Does kinda make me wonder why though.

Me to. The EG would still be under warranty. The guy may be blowing smoke, we'll see. If not I'm going with Rickdevon's idea.
