poor reception with detachable tour pak
got my detachable tour pak the other day and now my radio only gets 1 station guess i will have to take another trip back to the dealer so they can look at it. the radio works great with just the back rest on but with the adapter for the tour pak installed no signal. i have heard that i will lose the weather band if go with one of the hidden antenna's ie. tune trapper. any experience from anyone? 2006 street glide

I have a 06 EG Classic. I installed Hogtune speakers and a hidden Tune Trapper ant. I have no problems. Can get all, and better reception on all channels and Weather......hdman

I'd waste $4.00 at pep boys or auto zone before I let the dealer touch my ride. They have a rubber antenna. See if that works any better. Plus you won't have to connect and disconnect every time you take off you pak.

I put a tune trapper on my bike, it works great, I get all AM, FM and weather band.
Sounds like you lost you ground, the antenna mount is attached to plastic I.E. no ground plane.
