My local flea market has a guy who Makes custom ones or pick off the rack and he adjusts them to your size...Good Quality leather for about 110.00..."Keller's Flea Market" in Sav, GA
What's up neighbor?
Ah, Keller's...I haven't been to the "dirt mall" in a couple of years.
I wondered why I couldn't get into my old chaps, they've shrunk!! We both have had chaps from other places not any big name brand and they don't seem to hold up well, so this time we watched at different HD shops and found some clearanced last year version chaps for 30% off, we got 2 pair for $300. These are the most comfortable chaps I've tried on, they are very soft and fit alot better than our previous chaps. They have the strechy stuff at the inner part of your thigh so you can get the legs tight without being to tight sitting (or incase they shrink some), they also have 2 sets of zippers down the leg for tighter or looser fits, works great when I use my heated pants liner or wear layers, would help to if they shrink! I have heard good things about some of the mentioned brands but I can't compare since I've never tried them on. We never really liked wearing chaps before we got these and the comfort is so much better we don't mind at all now, I'm sure any good quality chap is that way. If you ride alot get a good pair of chaps, you'll be happy with them.
leather bibs work waaaaaaay better, these will last you a lifetime, expensive but well worth every penny, why have your ***** and a$$ cold? http://www.stonelakeleatherworks.com/bibs.htm
YOu guys are brave. I wouldn't ever buy chaps online. They have to fit right to be effective. How do you know they are going to be the right tightness in the legs, length, etc? I guy my chaps from a local leather shop here in Indy. $80 and he fits you, cuts them and guarantees his work for life. Bought mine 5 years ago and they still doing the job!

Yeah but Heather, I get the distinct feeling that you have bought a few things from this guy before...and everything I have seen you in in the forum seems to fit very well.
I think he really enjoys fitting you. I would.
If you haven't checked out www.chilhowee.net for leather goods, you may want to do so. I know several friends (and me also) that have purchased from them and we were all happy with our purchases. Their customer service is great and the prices are nice also.
If you are looking for off the rack, the Xpert Renegade chaps are pretty good. Nice quality leather, good cut, and kevlar/spectra stitching that won't rot away. I've got a set of the Xpert 821s, but they don't make them anymore..stetech on teh waist (instead of laces) and inner thighs, lined, spectra thread, etc.
Leather bibs? I picture Willem Dafoe in "Streets of Fire"...not really interested in looking like a rump ranger.
