I put the SE 64985-07A slip-ons on my '08 FLHT last January before I put the first mile on my then brand-new bike. I love them. Loud, but not too loud with a deep, mean growl when accelerating. Also, with their full 4" diameter, they look impressive too. Another nice feature is that you can choose the tips you want to put on them. Harley offers several designs and there are aftermarket options for them as well. I have the Harley fishtails on mine.
Bottom line: After a full year of use, I'd buy these mufflers again in a heartbeat.

Only other mod i did is the xieds i put on a long time ago. These muffs i just slipped on for that sound. They are right out of te box. Not broken in yet.
I had the 64985-07 and they were quieter than stock. No comparison. I bought the 07s from an hd dealer on ebay listed as 07a. Dealer swore they were the same sound. He was wrong.

I'm comparing the two mentioned in my post, i.e., 64985-07 vs 64985-07A. If you can't find the 07, then it has probably been dropped from the H-D product line. The 64985-07 SE slip-on was not louder than stock, imo, and the release of the 07A is likely the result of complaints about the original.

OK, I ordered the 80732-09 which is the 09 version of the 64985-07A, so the sound should be comparable I would think. You had me worried there as I wanted a little "more" sound, not less... Thanks! I see you like yours and they do look good. I also heard / read that different end caps yield different levels of sound too.

Unless you're looking for really loud, I think you'll like them. At WOT they roar, but while cruising along they just have a nice, deep rumble, definitely louder and deeper in tone than the stock mufflers. I can't comment on the different end caps/different sounds claims because I've only had fishtails on mine, but it makes sense.
