[QUOTE=bigskyhd;4409471]Lookin' good. You need a nice low Corbin solo to bring out the Retro look. Nice job though.[/QUOTE
Bike is looking great but+1 on the corbin and some fishtails for retro,
Heres what I was going to do to the Heritage to further its 'retro look'.
There's really NO reason for a TC to have the cone motor look. I was thinking of a flat timing cover to make it have an old shovel or Pan kinda look to the engine.
To get ideas for my bike, I oogle over pictures in old Harley books. Look at the items that were stock or Harley accessories from back in the day.
A Road King with hard bags takes it's influence from '60-'64 FLH Duo Glides and '65 and up Electra Glides. Quite a few of the items on those bikes are still available today.
I never really thought of the Road King Classic's leather bags as that nostalgic, but they take a nice nod to late '50's FLs.
There's plenty you can do, just look at lots of pictures and get ideas.
Sgt: Nice looking bike. You've picked probably the best Harley for creating the retro 'look'...but I might be biased.
Take a look at the sticky on top of the Touring Section (Turning a Classic into a Classic). Many of the pictures were lost when they switched servers but you still can get the idea on what others are doing to their Road King's.
Keep posting and searching for new ideas...lots of good people here who'll help you spend your money.
