All I can say, after owning & riding Harley's of all kinds for 25 years,
is that the '09's are the best yet, improvements abound...but shouldn't
they? I'm sure the '10's and '11's to follow will be even better. We all
know there's way more (free) power in the twin cam that could made
available by some production changes and I, for one, would be happy if they'd finally get rid of the "feels like something's coming apart" clunk/whack we experience when shifting from neutral into 1st.

It'd be nice if that was the case but it isn't always. Look at the '69 Mustang versus the '79
It was hard for me to imagine MoCo could improve on what I thought was a great bike (07 Ultra), but the changes for 09 make the Ultra just that much better.
As with any company, I am sure that there will be changes in the years to come that will blow away what they did in 09, but, IMHO, for now, MoCo has done it right!
