The left channel (speakers) of my stereo is out. (08 RG) The manual says that soft key 5 can adjust fade. I've never been able to get to a fade control. Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this problem and how to fix it. I have a detachable tour pack with speakers and the left speaker is out on it as well. When I unplug the tour pack I'm still hearing only the front right speaker. These are Hog Tunes speakers. Thanks in advance.
If you push on the control switch on the left side of the handle bars it will first go to bass and then on to other adjustments including fade. If you can not make the adjustment you need to correct the problem Check all connections to the speakers. As a last resort go to dealer but put in the stock speakers.

Fader: not going to work as mattman pointed out unless the dealer activates it on your radio.
Speakers: do you have an amp? if not I would pull the fairing cap off, unplug both connectors on the back of the radio, hit the power button a couple of times to drain the stored power in it, then plug the connectors back in. if that doesn't work, you've got a bad channel on your radio.
