If you are an audiophile, the Scala does not have stereo. If phone capabilities are all you're after then it would be ok.

I believe the Scala Rider Q2 is stereo. The original was not.

+2 on the Cardo Scala Rider Q2 system. I've had these now for 3 weeks and both the bike to bike and bike to rider are awesome! One of the best purchases I've made.

I am only interested in listening from my bluetooth stereo device and not using the microphone. Can I use the Scala Rider Q2 without the microphone attached? If it matters I use a 3/4 helmet.

As already posted in this thread, NO Scala Rider products do stereo bluetooth.

From the Cardo website FAQs:
<<Is this product compatible with the A2DP profile?

At this time none of the Cardo products are compatible with the A2DP profile. >>

The "A2DP profile" is the bluetooth profile for streaming stereo audio.

As I stated in the begiining of rthe post a friend of mine had shown me a helmet with Bluetooth, I did not care all that much for the fact that it was a full face but it actually has quite a few features.

The solid black was not that bad. I guess they also have a flat black.

Anyway here it the link if anyone is interested

I am always on call for my job. I just pair my phone with the Zumo GPS. This doesn't allow me to talk while riding, but I can see on the screen when someone calls in. If it's in my phonebook, it will display the person's name, otherwise it will display the number. I just pull over at the next convenient place and return the call. It works great for me. You don't need a special helmet, nor does it interfere with the radio.

With the Harley unit mentioned above or others such as the Kennedy cellset, you can actually make and receive calls while riding but I do not want that, nor is it a safe practice IMHO.

Just talk with the folks at J&M Corp.

It's my understanding they have worked out everything except the CB for Bluetooth.

You can connect to bluetooth devices, but will not be able to hear the Harley stereo, intercom, Etc... through the headphones.

Until Harley comes out with a bluetooth interface for the stock HK stereos you are out of luck.

These are nothing more than Harley branded (I forget the company that makes these) rider sets.

Its like the Harley Roadtek, just a relabled Zumo and $$$ added for the Harley logo.

It's a Garmin Zumo 550 $899 from Garmin, $799 from Harley with additional software.
