I recently had a set of Vance And Hines Bigshot Longs installed on a 2008 Heritage Softail Classic. For the rider, the sound is a little too loud while riding. I was thinking about installing a set of their quiet baffles (21869). Does anyone have any experiences with these baffles? Vance And Hines states it will bring the sound down 2 decibels. Any information is appreciated.
They will knock the sound down at idle and cruise. I think the claim is closer to 4db.
When you get on the gas they're still fairly loud.
No need to retune unless your motor is highly modified. In fact if your motor is relatively stock it may feel like it has a bit more torque.
