I also have the ultimate seat on my VTX 1800. I didnt know that they make them for Harley, thats great !! Because the Ultimate is the most comfortable seat I have sat on.I cant beleve how many former VTX owners are on this board and have moved up to Harleys.Maybe I will have to get a new seat for my 09 Ultra.
Had the Ultimate Big Boy seat on my VTX and it was fantastic. VERY disappointed that it's not available for the Ultra....yet. Supposedly they will have one ready in the spring and I can hardly wait. Best money I've ever spent and will gladly do so again. It's worth the wait!

I understand they will have them ready for the 08 09 bikes for Daytona.
I bought the top of the line two piece plus both backrests for my VTX and I was VERY PLEASED. I spent just at $1000 and it was well worth it, When I went to trade in the bike I took it off and put the stock on Just long enough to ride an hour to the dealer and my back and butt was sore as could be. I should have bought one for my RG but I went another way. If you buy one you will truley know comfort on a bike.
I had one on my Road Star, and like most have said, found it to be the best seat I ever had.
I had a Mustang on a past bike, and didn't like how it pushed me forward. The Ultimate didn't do that for me. I though the position it put me on was perfect. And it didn't sit me "on top" of the bike the way the Mustang did.
Well worth the money for me on that bike.
I don't know if I'll switch the seat on my Ultra. It seems to fit me just fine.
But my longest day trip on this 09 has only been about 300 miles. I guess I'll know better over this spring and summer when I put some all day rides in.
Wow, I guess I am odd man out!! I purchased one at a Valkyrie meet in Zanesville Ohio. I could not ride more than an hour before my a$$ was sore. I sold it the minute I returned from the meet. But as they say all seats aint for every a$$.
I too had one on the X. I had a 4 piece and the difference from stock was substantial. I was reminded of that when I changed it out back to stock to trade the bike. I'm a guy that cannot go more than 150 mile at a stretch on any seat before I need to stretch my legs. That did not change with the Ultimate for me but the stock seat gave me only 60 miles before my butt was on fire. I guess that tells the story.
Des, the owner is a terrific guy and not afraid to speak with his customers. I asked him a few years ago how it was going with the new Harley seat and he said Harley riders are very demanding and he was working hard to get it right. He takes this stuff very seriously.

OK, this thread may have the record for the most ex-VTX riders to post in it
I was thinking the same thing! I had an Ultimate on my VTX also. Loved it and the wife loved it. It is a couch. It did not go that direction on my Street Glide because I really wanted to sit lower. I bought a C&C for that, love the look and it is very comfortable. I also have a sundowner for when I ride long distances with the wife.
