Was messing around with the Ultra since it is not quite nice enough for riding. Thought I'd check out the CB (09 Ultra). For the first time, opened up the box with the passenger headset in thinking there would be a CB mike there. No mike. Was a mike to be included with the bike or not? And, is it possible to listen to CB without using a mike? Thanks
You can use, (listen and talk) your CB without a mike. Listen through the speakers, or headsets, and talk through the mike on your headset. Great setup, i use mine a lot. Good luck.
On my '08, it's the COM button that gets you into the CB setup, then use the MODE SEL switch up or down to select channel. Not sure if your "09 is the same or if it's changed.
Mine did not come with a CB mic, just the headset, and that's all I use. If you want to use it without the headset, get a mic to plug in. Harley has one for about $100, part number 76312-98. A buddy of mine has an aftermarket one he got on E-bay for about half of that.
I use my CB a lot on longer trips, especially when riding with a group.
