That said, I'd probably recommend using BelRay fork oil simply because you know it's the best there is and it's available in every weight you could possibly want to try.
Unless you completely rinse out the old oil residue from inside the front forks you are going to get a mix of some degree.
Unless every oz of oil is going to be utilized in the functioning of the fork, I wouldn't think a 1/2 oz would be that important. There is always a reserve amount factored in to allow for leakage until a repair can be performed, otherwise, you're in trouble and have to trailer the bike at the first sign of a leak. Sorta like your tranny or engine. You have a oil level range to stay within.
Deep down inside you know you want it to be done right. Give yourself a day or so to get over the mistake and then tackel it again when your not upset.
