Default Adding wire to tour pak

I want to wire a power port and connections for Ipod and Sirius inside the tour pak on my '09 Ultra. It doesn't look like I can push that many wires through the two existing grommets. Is it just a simple matter of drilling another hole and pushing another grommet into it or is there another opening I've missed? Thanks in advance. Jeff

I added a 12v receptacle in my tour pak for my iPod and I also ran a cable from the tour pak to the radio aux jack to allow me to run the iPod while it is in the tour pak. I did just what you asked, I drilled a hole for the power and signal cables and added a grommet. If you put the hole behind a speaker enclosure so that the cables are hidden, then you should also put a hole in the enclosure and run the cables through the bottom of the enclosure. I ended up pinching the signal cable when I put the speaker enclosure back on and had to replace it. Live and learn.
BTW, I hooked the power cables to the connector under the seat that is run off the acc switch.

I was able to push several extra wires through the existing grommet without any trouble at all.

Great advice, I'm looking to do the same but will make the cables quick disconnect so I can detach the tour pak

Yep, I would have done this too if I only wanted to add a power outlet. The iPod audio cable did not fit with its right angle 1/8" connector. (I wanted a right angle connector when it plugs into the radio so it does not stick out too much. I run my iPod from the tour pak. I use an iJET remote to control it while I am riding. I learned from my last bike that if you use an iPod with a hard drive that it will lock up easily due to vibrations if it is mounted to the bike. So I just have mine cusioned in the tour pak and I never have issues. Plus it is locked up so I don't have to mess with it everytime I stop.
