under the knife
Yep, good luck on your surgery, and do what the Doc says. I'm in my third week recovering from back surgery, and it ain't fun.
I'm getting off the pills though. I got up last night to go to the bathroom. Next thing I remember is my wife and son trying to push the door open. I was laying in the floor in a pool of blood. Busted my nose and upper lip I guess when I hit the floor. Been having these head aches I'm attributing to all the crap they got me taking, muscle relaxers, pain pills, streroid, and Ibuprophen. Got my system messed up. Didn't seem to hurt my back though. I hope I start getting better soon, this recovery is hammering my ***.

Hope all goes well, I feel your pain, I had put off hip replacement for about 3 years, finally decided enough was enough, had it done Oct. 6th and I am now 90% over it and back on the bike. Chin up & good luck.
Good luck on the surgery. Listen to the doctor and do all the therapy. Last year I had L5/L4 & S1 done. 16mm herniation on two of them and 3mm on the other. Feels great now. Was up walking the next day and actually was doing 3 miles by the end of the week (slowly). The bike will be available for you after you recover. Take care!
