Use the Amsoil filter removes smaller microns and holds up to the synthetic oil better. 20w50w motor and primary 75w140w tranny. Been working well for 40K on my 07 RG

I don't think it's a matter of price when it comes to oil. Change over to the AMSOil and you'll notice the difference. It's just that much better.

Amsoil is rated for 15 microns (98%) and the HD filter 5 microns with no efficiency spec. Thus it would be hard to say that one filter or the other was more efficient at filtering.

I guess I'm a creature of habit, it works well for me so why change?

Someone on another thread mentioned that although HD oil (Citgo) is extracted from Venezuela, most everything else comes from the Middle East where terrorists get a small percentage of our trade deficit. At least the Venezuelans aren't trying to kill us.

Wouldn't you say that removing 15 microns would be more efficient than one that removes only 5 microns, maybe I don't understand the filtering process, but it seems removing smaller particulates would be a better filter. Or I could just be picking fly crap out of pepper.

Dont be so sure that Venezuela is Pro American. Some of the leaders support cartel that publicly denounce the US and actively seek American blood.
