The bras that I had on my SG were installed by the dealer before I picked up my bike, and they didn't fit well (I'm guessing they never heard of your trick of putting them in the dryer to soften them up!). I also had a problem with the tape sliding around on the underside of the lid, so even when I finally got them tight they'd loosen up when it was really hot because the tape was moving around. I wish they stayed in place, because the functionality was great (no marks/scuffs) and they looked pretty cool too.

I had the leather lid covers on the RoadKing for tht same reason. They fit good and I never had any problems with them rubbing or not fitting right. I did lay them out in the sun before putting them on. Never had a problem with velco strips or glue. I don't have anything on the Ultra, but wife don't ride much behind me anyway, so I think I will be ok.

If you do the leather bra deals, before you install them, take a broad tip black majic marker and color the white velcro taps with it. If not, the white will show up between the lid and the bags

Here's a pic of my HD lid covers. Yeah, maybe they don't fit like a glove but they give the peace of mind. I never take them off except when I clean the bags.

I have the rails also and like them quite a bit. I agree with Q Hog, I like the old school look they offer. And on a side note, Q Hog, I think that your bike is my favorite on here. Really sharp man, good job.
