Default Damn shame

I was at the dealer picking up a part yesterday and noticed an 09 Ultra red sunglo sitting in the front of the store. Some guy had already traded it in. The paint was scratched, the controls on the fairing where white like they had been baked and never cleaned. The front forks were pitted and tarnished, and the lower compartments snap buttons were torn off. I've never seen a bike that new look that bad. I went out to my 08, and it looked like a million dollars gleaming in the sun. Some people just don't appreciate fine workmanship!

Some people just don't like to take care of things. Not sure why. Lazy?

Geez ya that's a crime, that guy needs a "blanket party" for treating a beautiful machine that way...

How many miles did he have on it? Maybe he was more into riding it than cleaning it.

I'm just saying, I know a retiree that buys a new bike just about every year. He puts 30-40,000 miles on it and trades it in. He could care less about scratches and such, but faded controls sounds like a factory defect on a brand new bike like that.
