Default Bitubo Install Question

I've bought a pair of Bitubo shocks from Traxxion for my '05 RK Custom but the instructions are unclear...should the compensation tank/cartridge that's attached to the shock be on the top or the bottom?? The Bitubo sticker on the "tank" is upright when it's on the bottom...does it matter?

Either way...took it out for a ride...nice.

Did you have any clearance issues with the saddlebags?
Thanks
