Wow! Great comments and the types of rides are all over the board! Really enjoying everyone's stories. Super stuff for these 58 year old eyes as I take another swig of geratol! LOL!!
I'm 58 and wondering what guys my age and older ride. Not a survey, but just curious what others are riding and why. You might note what you used to ride and why you changed! Just a little fun while we wait for a little warmer riding weather! Excuse me a moment while a take a sip of my Geratol...
62 in July. Started riding in 1967, first Harley new in 1974. Bought my 1990 FLHS new, but have been tinkering with it ever since. Got an S&S 107 motor in it now, just to keep ahead of more modern dressers, plus 13inch discs and 6-pot calipers to out-brake 'em and a TrueTrack handling kit to out-ride 'em! For an adrenilin rush also own 'Buttercup', a 2007 Firebolt and for real speed a BMW K1.
Planning a 3,000 mile tour on the Glide in June, from our home in the UK to Slovakia. Hope the weather picks up before then!
I'm 57, and I ride a 1999 Road King Classic FLHRCI
S&S .510G gear drive cams
PC111 powercommander
Screamin' Eagle pro performance exhaust (not streetlegal)
Arlen Ness Big Sucker aircleaner
I'm a year shy of 55, I prefer comfort over style !
I ride a FLHT Standard. I have my tunes, my cruise control, and drivers backrest.
All I need now is cocktail waitness on back to serve me drinks ( just kidding ).
