removing front bumper on 09 Ultra
Has anyone removed the front bumper rubber piece and left the chrome rail on? I was thinking of trying that but it looks like the inside bracket in the front of the fender holding the rail to the fender will show through when the rubber is removed. Any ideas?

Paint the bracket flat black. Several folks have removed just the rubber, but unfortunately all the pics that had been posted were on the old forum and were lost during the switchover. I haven't seen a thread on the new forum with pics of just the rubber removed. Why not remove the whole bumper, looks better IMO

I did both, first removed the rubber, hiding the mount with black tape, looked o.k, then removed the whole assy. creating a cleaner look. Waited until removing the wheel as it was less frustrating to bend back locking tabs from inside the fender.
