Weird knocking sound.........................
I took my ride in last week for a noise I was hearing. To make a long story short, they ended up replacing everything in the cam chest. Runs stronger than it has in awhile, however the noise is still there , maybe worse. To me, it sounds like its coming from the jugs. It has a rythm at idle, but when I rev the motor, it goes away, seemingly, at least I cant hear it. Could a piston, or a wrist pin make that much noise? I would assume it will come apart also, so why would they not try to figure it out? Its an '06 ELC stock motor, with 45,000 miles on it. I am taking it back in tomorrow.
