Who are you trying to get sympathy from?
We have finally had a couple of days above freezing, live on a dirt road with nothing but ice everywhere.
I put 24000 miles on last year in 8 months, can't imagine how many I'd have now if I had your weather.
Gosh, let me run to get the Kleenex. TWO STRAIGHT DAYS of rain? My heart goes out to you... N O T! It's been two months since I've been able to get my bike out of the garage. How does that sound? Sounds even worse to Me! Consider yourself lucky, strap on the rain suit, and get out there and ride.... Safely!!!
I live in San Diego and have been riding in the rain every day since last Thursday. Get yourself a good rain suit and a full face helmet and you wont be bothered by it.
+1
And the rain stopped you from riding why?????
That's why I switched to a bagger. I needed the saddle bags to carry my rain suit. It's with me at all times. They have saying here in Texas..."If you don't like the weather, wait a while. It will change."
You SoCal riders make me want to puke! Try growing up in the middle of the Willamette Valley You guys don't know what the "non-riding DT's" are!
That's it, wife and I are already making plans, I'm gonna get another retirement check from this job and we're out of here and heading for the SUN
Come on down, the roads are great (mountains) but the people drive crazy around here. I think driving here in the rain is about as dangerous as riding everywhere else in the snow or ice. No kidding.
Up here in extreme Northern California on the coast, it usually starts raining in late September or October...and stops right around July. However, it's one of the most beautiful places on earth, so I can hang with that. We do get dry days here and there, but sometimes there's a month or so with rain every day. Sure beats the snow.
