Any down side to removing the U shaped tube when using the relocator?

He's a forum member that makes a bushing replacement kit for detachable mounts. They're much better than the MOCO's bushings. Do a forum search for GILBOS 440RT.... or you can click the link above within the quote to go to his page. Good guy to deal with.
