Default Any down side to removing the U shaped tube when using the relocator?

He's a forum member that makes a bushing replacement kit for detachable mounts. They're much better than the MOCO's bushings. Do a forum search for GILBOS 440RT.... or you can click the link above within the quote to go to his page. Good guy to deal with.

I removed the tube too,IMO looks and fit's much better,been that way over a year with no problem!

OK I'm lost -- if you remove the chrome u tube what do you bolt Georges bracket to???
Got a picture of the setup that you could post?

I installed it the way my buddy George said to... I would not remove the tube at all
