Most people do not want to ship items from Craigslist. It's more of a person to person cash deal. Although I have bought a couple things long distance with Craigslist. Both times I asked if they had any Ebay feedback and they did, I then messaged them through Ebay for verification. If they don't have lots of Ebay feedback I'm not buying anything off Craigslist unless I'm standing in front of them with cash.
Tell him that you will take them and the money order is ready to go. You will send it after you recieve the pegs. My quess is that you would never see them.
Problem solved. Scam uncovered. Keep looking. Plenty of honest people out there to deal with.
Unless it is a super deal that you are willing to take a chance on, I'd pass. Something as low priced as peg mounts and pegs IMO is not worth the hassle. Buy for a reputable dealer and not worry about it.
HDV-GLIDE,
The seller is clearly not very familiar with PayPal. Once your account is 'verified,' there is very little chance of anything going screwy. In fact, once your account is verified, it usually only take 2 days for the money to transfer from PayPal to your bank account (at least that is what I'm seeing0, even though they state that it will take 3-4 days.
I'd be very cautious. Also keep your eye on the "For Sale" thread here on the HDForum.
