i narrowed my choice down to either a thunderheader or bassanni roadrage for my electraglide standard...is there anyone out there running them/any pics or advice? any ?
Here's a black ThunderHeader. I really like it. I have had several 2 into 1's and the only one I like better was a D&D FatCat. However, at the time I built this bike they did not have black FatCats....
Well, I am very unbiased, and my stinking opinion is the Bassani. Bassani has been in the exhaust game a long time.
The Bassani are stepped header pipes (to keep the exhaust gas velocity up) creamic coated ( to keep the heat in----hot gases move faster than cool gases) equal length pipes before the collector (If you don't know the principal behind equal length headers, buy a book )
Yeah, they are okay[sm=icon_rock.gif]
Oh yeah, everybody that has a set of the ThunderHeaders love them too
Also, two other things going for Thunderheaders is one, most HD Dealers prefer working with Thunderheaders for an exhaust that works with you over various engine modifications--more HD dyno experience with them and, two, in the future if you were to get a TC88 Zip kit or one of the other larger Zip kits from Zipper's Performance, that included their Thundermaxx EFI, they already have maps for the Thunderheaders so it would be simple plug-in-play. Good luck on your mods.
I went with the Bassani on my bike due to a better looking polished end on the ceramic pipe (they both sound about the same IMO), pipe was put on Tuesday and pulled off yesterday due to adding a 95" kit......Pipe sounded awesome, without being tuned, can't wait to pick it up in the morning...........I hope
I really like my thunderhead exhust It's alot better after the pc3 and dino tune .I can roll of the throttle at any gear and rumbles. They can be gentel if I want to hear my rodie xm.
