My bike was originally a police bike with the air bag mounted seat. I purchased a Corbin seat for it to replace the original. I am looking at getting a HD badlander 2 up seat and need to know what harware I will need to mount the HD seat on the bike. Also does anyone know where I could find that hardware other than the local dealership?
Surely atleast one person on here has bought a new seat from Harley.
Heres what I need to know. Does a new seat come with the rear mounting bracket? And where can I pick up the screw and nut? http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...8-7DBEBB99930C Does this appear to be like the nut everyone else has on their bike?
That part number is for the insert that is pulled into your fender. Usually when you strip out that insert you press it out and then pull in a new one from the top. They usually have 1/4-20 threads in the insert. You can use a 1/4-20 chrome screw and washer or one of the versions that let you tighten it by hand like this one.
