So I'm thinking about making the jump from an '07 FXST to an '08 FLHX. I've got a friend who's trying to sell his Street Glide, and I'm trying to find a good price for what he's got...Any ideas? Here's what he has- 5k miles, SERT, S&S 510 gear drives, Fat Cat, Rider and Passenger Backrests, Braided cables, and mini-apes. I'd love to keep my 103" FXST, but I don't think the wifey would like me having 2 bikes. So, if I were to make an offer, what would be "fair?" Thanks in advance for any advice. Oh, by the way, my local HD Dealerships are asking 23k for 2009 models, so that's out of the question.
Lookin' around online and it looks like that bike is worth about 16k. Unfortunately (for your buddy) the accessories don't change the value
of the bike. I'd check some (not local) dealers for deals on left over '08's
before I bought a used one.
Right now here in sunny so cal the left over 08' SG's dealer asking price is 16,999 + tax lic fees, and they can't sell them! Now having said that , fair to both of you would probably be around 14k-15k(How good of a friend is he LOL) Extras don't count and market value now is way less than is was 12 months ago.
I went from a Softail Custom to my Electra Glide Standard, what a difference!!! Will always own a glide from now on!! The EGS rides and handles so much better than the FXST and has room for all your STUFF!!
